3. Light up pathways

Smaller globe lights are ideal on the sides of a pathway, garden lights can showcase your favorite plants while illuminating a path, and step lights are perfect for deck stairs. You can also decorate an arbor with string lights or entwine them into the hedges for an ambient glow.

Whatever you do, just remember that illuminating steps and walkways doesn’t just increase your home’s aesthetic appeal but also helps prevent people from tripping or falling in the dark.
